Meetings

The Network plans seven conferences that will allow trainees to present their work and interact with senior researchers in formulating further research plans. The meetings also allow the scientific committee to monitor the progress of the various teams in meeting their goals and the quality of their interaction in the training programme and in promoting the main themes of the network. Meetings will also be used in order to involve researchers from outside the Network in the workings of the group, bringing in fresh ideas and helping to recruit young researchers.

Master Class
Master Class by Imran Rasul (UCL Associate Professor), who will give four 2-hour sessions on "Incentives in Organizations".

Theses lectures discuss the design of incentives within organizations, and how the current evidence on this fits with the predictions of contract theory. The lectures will cover both methodological and substantive aspects with particular focus on the effects of different contracts on workers' productivity, and the interplay between incentives and social effects in the workplace. We will consider examples of incentive schemes employed in both the private and public sectors. The lectures are based on several key papers in the field, two or three of which will be covered in detail in the lectures.
Outline of lectures

Wednesday 17 (all day) - Thursday 18 (morning)

Workshop
Workshop with "Microdata" presentations by post-docs, junior and senior researchers of the RTN.
